A space to be still
This May, Nairana's Year 10 group will head away for a weekend silent retreat at Bargo. For many of our young people, this will be their first experience of extended silence.
Away from the noise of everyday life, the retreat creates space to slow down, to listen, and to deepen a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a time of prayer, reflection, and genuine encounter.
"Be still, and know that I am God."

A different kind of weekend
- Periods of silence and solitude, guided by a structured timetable of prayer and reflection
- Opportunities to deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ through personal and communal prayer
Places are offered thoughtfully, not on a first-come basis.
Silence is a gift, but it is also a discipline. It asks a genuine willingness to enter into stillness and prayer. Not every boy is at the same point in that journey — and that is entirely to be expected. We will be speaking with your son about what the weekend involves, and that conversation will shape who we invite.
We will be speaking with your sons soon to share more about the retreat and gauge their interest. Further details — including the full programme, cost, and consent forms — will be shared closer to the date. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
